England Lioness, Ella Toone, teamed up with Tesco to launch the Golden Grants Scheme and Dolphin Motorhomes was there at the launch. On October 15th, shoppers in 100 large Tesco stores across the UK were given the chance to take part in a lucky dip to find specially created gold versions of its iconic blue voting tokens worth £1million in grants to local good causes.

The finders of the gold tokens were then given three local charities to choose from to donate the £10,000 Golden Grant to. Dolphin Motorhomes has chosen to donate £2500 to one of the two charities that were not picked in the Bournemouth area.

Dolphin has chosen to support Broadstone Middle School, which is in the process of updating its library. The school caters for children aged 9-13 and are passionate about reading. They are working hard to update their library. The £2500 donation will go towards purchasing new books for the children.

Josh Willis, Managing Director, Dolphin Motorhomes, said “We are delighted to be able to support Broadstone Middle School and their work to improve their library. Reading is such an important part of a child’s education, and it is crucial a school has up to date reading material as well as a good selection, for the children. The Golden Grants scheme Tesco offers is an amazing way to help local community projects that need support. We are really pleased to be able to support such a worthy cause.”

Jade Palmer, Head of School, at Broadstone Middle, said “We are delighted that Dolphin Motorhomes has chosen to support our school with their grant. There is no such thing as too many books and if you are anything like us at BMS, you are always looking for ways to help your children read more and more and MORE! Children in classrooms without libraries read 50 per cent less than children in classrooms with libraries. By expanding our school library our pupils will gain key knowledge and skills which they carry with them far beyond the school environment and develop a love of reading which will last a lifetime. Thanks to Dolphin Motorhomes we will be able to improve our library substantially. If anyone else wants to help our school, we have an Amazon book wish list. Anyone can buy us a book!”
