The original donation was £2500, but Dolphin decided to double it to £5000 after meeting with the team and seeing the fabulous work they do. The money will be donated to the charity’s Hardship Fund offering survivors of domestic abuse funds for food, fuel, clothes and family essentials. Match funding is available through the Big Give Christmas Challenge which allows charities like Stop Domestic Abuse to access match funds over this tough Winter period, making Dolphin Motorhomes’ donation worth £10,000 to the charity.

Josh Willis, Managing Director, Dolphin Motorhomes, said “We are delighted to be able to support Stop Domestic Abuse’s vital work with adults and children who’ve been affected by domestic abuse. The charity’s Hardship Fund has been put in place to support local women in the run up to Christmas, helping them buy basics such as food and drink but also gifts and days out for their families which they wouldn’t be able to do without extra support this Winter. Following a meeting with the team at STOP Domestic Abuse and hearing of the amazing work they do, I decide to double our donation to £5000. We are really pleased to be able to support such a worthy cause.”

Claire Lambon, CEO at Stop Domestic Abuse, said “We are delighted that Dolphin Motorhomes has chosen to support Stop Domestic Abuse through their Golden Grant. The cost of living crisis is having an unprecedented effect on women who are experiencing or who have experienced domestic abuse. One in 4 women, one in 7 children and one in 6 men are affected by domestic abuse and we work to provide advice, support and safe accommodation to anyone affected. Thanks to Dolphin Motorhomes and our other supporters, help will be available to families struggling this Winter. Our Hampshire Helpline number is 0330 0533 630”.
